A half eaten nerf football behind the airvents, a marble, a button that said "I graduated SJSU FALL 84", another button that said something about mexico, and a dead mouse in the headliner...which of course could fall no where else but on my head.

Here is the dead mouse I found in a 1968 Charger under the headliner.

Belgium R/T -68

I bought my -68 Charger in Texas, when I tore it down last year i found 60-70 pills stuffed in some kind of cotton under the headliner. Since then I always wonder who
put them there and what happend to him/her? Why didn't he/she took it out again? The headliner was new.

A number of years ago a buddy of mine bought a used motor home, well is the process of cleaning things out, and I do mean cleaning, quite disgusting, he pulled the foam out of the seats and found all these cut outs in the foam for guns and knives and other things, I don't know what the previous owner was doing, but I'm sure it wasn't legal, I told him had better be careful the feds were probably on the lookout for it, I never rode in it. :smilielol: :smilielol:

A SECOND mint broadcast sheet in the rear seat back.  There was a broadcast sheet in the glovebox with the owners manual so I didnt expect to find another.  Both are for my cars VIN

Do McDonalds french fries count? Funny how they look just like 'new'. Maybe not weird, but definately proves they aren't real potatoes. Try leaving a real potatoe under your seat for a period of time!

stripping the paint off the trunk lid ..could hear a viberation in side ... when i was using the DA  :scratchchin:  ... turned out to be a  car key ..from memory said pontiac  or gm ..... & Milwaukee something  ... took some getting out  though ! keep trying to shake a heavy trunk lid .. & only one exit point  :icon_smile_blackeye:   oh yeah also inside the rear  lower quarters   a  really old looking  silver disney land spoon  &  some fishing  hooks & swivles .
also found a couple of Dimes in the gas tank   :scratchchin:    but the best find of all was behind the rear seat back :woohoo: :woohoo: was the correct broadcast sheet .

When we pulled out the original carpet in my 69 to replace we found a bunch of broken safety glass...enough to fill up half a dustpan.  Must have broken a window on the line and the lazy St Louis workers just threw the carpet over it. Also found a few factory screws under there, no idea what they are for.

BigBlockSam

when i changed the carpet in the 69 roadrunner . i found a bar of ivory soap with a date from the  70's

Dodge Don

When I restored my dash assembly I found a folded up square piece of paper lodged behind the glove box "hockey stick" woodgrain bezel. Probably to deal with a squeak when built. I unfolded it and it was an original plant vehicle entry pass for the St. Louis assembly plant from late 1969.

I also found a vintage slim jim in the trunk under the carpet. For breaking into cars?

When I removed the seat back on my 70 Charger to install the Legendary seat covers, there was a hand out from the San Diego School Department dated 1975. It was in typewritten form and copied on an old mimeograph type machine (remember those?) It informed parents of an upcoming aluminum can drive that the school was planning. It said that last years can drive had raised $15.00.

I can imagine a kid riding home from school in the back of a five year old Charger RT, somehow bored out of his mind, and stuffing the letter in the seat.

I still have it along with some other junk that was in there. If I can find it,, I'll scan it and post it.

Charger-Bodie

When a buddy of mine was tearing his '70 Challenger apart, we found a half smoked refer in a rouch clip setting on top of the radio.  :apimp:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

The weirdest thing i found WHICH IS VERY HARD TO BELIEVE was about 3 pounds of dog food in the head liner
i was pulling the liner out,   and it just started to spill out. i also found that the dome light wire was all chewed up
which means it must of been mice. there was also dog food in the frame rails aswell.
i also found in the headliner a broadcast sheet for a different car and one behind the seat which is for my 68 rt charger
the other sheet is for a dart i believe

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

gers1968rt

My car was full of live and dead cockroaches, big ones. They were everywhere, in the headliner, under the dash, under the carpeting(what was left of it anyway).
I used to own a mopar because it was different, but now I know better.

Those floor pans look pretty good! :2thumbs:

Most people underestimate the rust fighting abilities of dog food crammed in a head liner! ;D

JimShine

The dog food is easy to believe. Squirrels were bring it in. One car I tore the headliner out of had tons of acorns up in there from them nesting.

chargen86

yeah the floors are perfect thanks to the rust killing dog food
