I assume you can. If so how much vacuum is required, what do you use and how do you regulate it? I'm getting ready to restore my grille and figured it's a good time to see if they work.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

They are very handy for a bunch of other things too Bull.  Maybe not on the primary tool list but I would definitely tell folks to get them near the top of the secondary list.

Thanks. I don't suppose you can use one of those pumps to bleed the brakes can you?

NMike

easiest way to bleed the brakes, leave the cap on loose. open the bleeder screw for the brake you are going to bleed.

using CLEAR plastic tubing that will fit tight over the nipple(i use a 6 foot hose), route it from the bleeder screw, up higher than the master, then into a container.

all you do is pump the pedal slowly making sure the fluid never runs out. you will see the fluid fill the tube.

as you pump the air will go higher than the master, so it will naturally bleed out. if you have the time, you can even gravity bleed it this way. once you have no more air bubbles in the hose, that wheel is done.

ive been bleeding brakes this way for years at work. easy one man job.

But to more strictly answer your question Bull, yes, you can use one to bleed brakes as well.
