Did anyone investigate further on that car?
http://macon.craigslist.org/car/511476377.html

$2500 for a bird? Yeah right, but the ad doesn't sound like the typical scam and he has a phone number in it. maybe he really has no clue what he's got there (he calls it a 69 pointy nose Plymouth).

Sounds too good to be true but who knows..unfortunately I'm to far away to check on the car.

rav440

if it is = was true , because at that price id say it lasted for about an hour after anyone with half a brain read that ad .

That car is in Kentucky or Tennessee if I remember correctly... several pictures were posted on Moparts years ago.

So it's probably a scam cause the ad says it's in Georgia. But there's no email address and he wants people to call him to get directions..in 99.9% of all the scams there is a working e-mail and no phone number (if there's one it doesn't work).

Maybe he sells useless shit over the phone and now people start calling him so doesn't have to call them  ::)

Not sure if it is just a coincidence, but the location of Conyers Georgia is also where parts of the first 5 episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard was filmed and where people tend to stay for any Dukes events in the area. The prankster probably lives in Wisconsin or something.

I think I had just read on Moparts about that car ad being a gag. It was listed before & removed, something about the phone number if I recall.

Just google the phone number and it comes up with other ads that says he buys junk cars and will remove them from your property.

Someone needs to just go slap him...just for the excercise. :D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Did you send him a PM Dave about the Daytona's? I did, but figure its nothing real. I have a good home for one though. MY GARAGE>

That same ad was posted on the NH craigslist last summer. They did add a note that said that the motor was out of the car and it looked weird with plug wires coming out of the valve covers....
