Added to the Stable

I wasn't planning on it.  They have a radio show called "The Party Line" here that comes on for about an hour in the mornings where people call in and sell stuff.  Anyway yesterday this guy calls and says the has a 67 Dodge Truck with a 440 he wants to sell.  My brother in law was listening and went scrambling when he heard 440.  OK. He gives me the number and I call but before I call I'm thinking OK he wants 1200-1500 or more.  I ask him his price and he says $500 dollars.  We couldn't get there fast enough!  On the way I am thinking $500 dollars?  Its got to be a hopeless rust bucket case.  NOT.  We were pleasantly surprised to find a super solid body and interior.  She is turquoise, LWB.  Wish is was a SWB but I can live with it.  The 440 was from a 74 New Yorker that someone implanted and its got a $200 Hurst shifter.  Guy said the motor knocks so it will have to be torn down but I figured the motor alone was worth that.  We took our 2 wheel dollie but of course the truck was to wide to fit it so we are going to have to go back to retrieve it.  I will through up some photos once we get her home.  Another project but I couldn't pass it up.  Dave
