I am reassembling my steering column and wanted to know what lube I should use on the upper and lower bearings?

My 71 Dodge Service manual states: "The grease recommended for use during reassembly procedures is Automotive Multi-purpose Grease NLG Grade 2 E..P. or Multie-mileage Lubricant Part Number 2525035. Apply a thin coat to all friction surfaces."

Any suggestions on a brand or product name?

The part # for the lubricant is for a cartridge (like you would use in a grease gun) and the description says that it is what is used for ball joints and tie rod ends. I would say just get a good quality grease cartridge or a small tub of wheel bearing grease and apply a light film
