Parcells coming to the Fins is an important move for the future.  He is a great talent evaluator, and will really help the Dolphins rebuild through the draft.  The poor drafting of the Dolphins in the past is exactly why they are so bad today.  Rick Spielman, Dave Wannstedt and Nick Saban were terrible drafters.  We get all of Parcell's strengths, and non of his on-field weeknesses.

Merry Christmas Dolphin's fans :boogie: :woohoo: :boogie:

Another past his prime geezer.

There really is no way to go but up, is there?

I've only been able to watch a few games this season so I can't really give a good opinion, but from what I did see the players didn't look bad. It looked more to me like the plays sucked.

That mud-bowl game was classic..  :D

No doubt that Bill Parcells is past his prime as a coach, but he is just hitting his prime when it comes to talent evaluation through the draft.  Look at his career, and you will see that he has improved his drafts every year he has been in the league, with his last draft at Dallas his best draft class to date.  Chris Mortenson believes Parcell will do even better in this role now that he doesn't have to coach.  That's very promising.  Miami has a former executive of the year in Randy Mueller at GM, and combining his skills with Parcell's could make Miami's front office one of the best in the league.  Good drafting creates great teams that stay great for a long time.  I expect that from the Fins from this point forward.

If anyone is watching this game right now, it's like watching a high school team try and take on a pro team. Pretty painful to watch right now. Let's hope no Miami players get decapitated today...and I mean that literally.

They are only down 4 TD's. They still have a full half to come back..  ;)

I'm watching then ref's allow some pretty harsh stuff in the SF/TB game.  I hope Gruden pulls Garcia soon. Or someone smacks a ref a makes him start throwing some laundry...  :brickwall:

Just pulled Garcia..  :2thumbs:

Well, the Miami/New England game went rather well, I must say.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Does not look good for the 72 geezers to be breaking out that yearly bottle of champagne.

But, I think Mercury will break out the crackpipe anyway.

It's not over until the Pats win the SB this year.  If they have to face the Colts or Jags I could easily see them getting knocked out.  The Colts have had more adversity to face this year, and I think they are the top team.  You could make an argument that the Jags have the best shot at beating them, though.  They have a style of nastiness about them and are actually built for cold weather.  They are big and physical, and I'm not sure that the Patriots have faced anyone as smashmouth as the Jags this year.  Could be rough for Brady.

I would consider the Steelers a smashmouth team and they handled them pretty easily. But, in any case, yeah, it's all meaningless without a SB win. I completely agree with that. Here's hoping for a month of brutally cold, snowy Sundays in January in Foxboro.

Just a little reminder; Dolphins are MAMMALS, not FISH...    so they should taste like chicken.

And by the way, don't cry too loud if you're a Fins fan. At least you still have these stats to dredge up once in a while: http://www.profootballhof.com/history/stats/win-loss_records.jsp

Overall franchise win % top five:
1. Miami Dolphins - .588
2. Chicago Bears - .576
3. Dallas Cowboys - .573
4. Oakland Raiders - .568
5. San Francisco 49ers - .559
