Been looking into getting DSL.  ATT is the only provider in this area.  I noticed that it is packaged with Yahoo internet.  Is there a way of getting a DSL and still use my existing ISP?

Not sure exactly your question but DSL will provide you with an access point to the internet.  You can either use the ATT Email they provide or us a web based Email such as GMail/Yahoo/Hotmail.

I think what your saying is, can you use the ATT DSL with your current ISP, Correct?   All the DSL is going to do is provide the access point to the internet.  As for still using the ISP, you will need to contact them and talk to them about it.  I know some only deal with there dial up and not any other form of connections.

So I think you answer will be to contact the ISP and talk to them about it first.

My DSL is through Quest but my hosting is via a local company that a friend owns, Xmission. I say hosting since they don't actually provide my internet service. You have to make sure that your local co will work with and is compatible with your DSL provider, Xmission works with Quest for the service.
I pay double though, I pay for my DSL connection and then I also have to pay for Xmission for their services but I get mail, lot's of FTP space, web page anchoring as well as many other services that Quest couldn't provide or as couldn't do as well. All in all I've been very happy with Xmission since '95 which is why I chose to stay with them over taking the Quest package they tried to say that I HAD to take.
