They take a 69 model shove a 70 grill in it call it highly detailed and try to sell it on e-bay for a hundred bucks???

Copper red??? looks Burnt Orange to me.

and I don't ever recall hearing of a 426 hemi in a stock 70 500

Wrong Bee stripe.

Wrong seats.

Wrong tail light config

Then further in the description they call it a 71 Cahrger.
They can't even spell the name charger right... :smilielol:

Highly detailed....Yeah, incorrectly highly detailed...lol

These guys are high.

NMike

i guess they don't understand that there was already a charger 500 in 70.

Drache

If you look in his picture account, it states SOLD in large letters for the 70 500 and yet here it is up on ebay lol!  :scratchchin:

The first '70 500 made had a Hemi................no others after it did, wasn't even an option.

I can't believe you guys didn't notice the rear window treatment is a '69 500 style too :rotz: I built model cars for years. I'd have to say a young kid could at least do as good job on it if not better.

The "Chevy" engine bay treatment is correct.... if it were a Chevy.

Man are you sensitive about this color thing............  I have never said I did not like a car
or ''YOUR'' car because it was green............. no its not my favorite color, but I don't
go up to you or others with green cars, and say a darn thing about it. You are
the one running around pounding the fact that your car is green, and every other green
car is special.

I can say I like a color if I want to, heck you said you did not care for it, so give me a break....

I did not paint my car RED to get attention, it came that way, I like it, and if that is a problem
for you, thats your problem...............

I really hate to pick on the guy, but jeeeeeezzzzz

He's got 47 "probuilt" models up on eBay all asking stupid money and while they all look like they have had a LOT of time put in to them, I just don't see the "pro" in the "probuilt".

No, I'm no pro myself. I haven't built a model since I was a kid, but I know I wouldn't fork out that kind of cash for that kind of work.

How did they fit the '69 fenders in with the '70 grille? :shruggy: That's sick.

It looks more like a 68 grille from the Revell '68 model than a 70 :Twocents:. But if they did use a '70 grille, they probally cut it down alot.

TheGhost

The first thing that jumped in my head when I saw it was "68", not 70.  It's got a 70 grill, yes, but the bumper is still a 69.  Might have taken alot of time to build, but nowhere near as accurate as claimed.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

I sent him a message. Like somebody said, he claims its really accurate. I just gave him some pointers on how to make an accurate '70 model such as using the Fast and The Furious kit because that one has a regular rear window and also, it has a '70 grille. I gave him some other pointers like '70 500s didnt have a flush rear window (I think he figured since '69 500s have them that '70s do too), 70's had a wraparound type bumper where his grille isnt and those are '69 tailights in it. I tried not to be a dick (I said it a few times in the message..Im not trying to be a dick) and I just told him my honest opinion. I also gave him some thumbs up on some stuff though like the interior is nicely detailed and the paint is great. But yea, hopefully that helps him next time he builds a '70 :2thumbs:
