That one would be cool to have on a car up here.  :yesnod:

BigBlackDodge

I've always removed them from my vehicles....new or old. To me it would be like leaving the realtors company sign in the front of your house years after you bought it.

There's no dealer decal on my Coronet survivor and if there was one,  I'd probably take it off....probably.  :scratchchin:

My dad delivered new Mopars and when in my teen in the late 60's, he would bring home the dealer's sticker of the dealers he went to that day. I have several of original stickers from western and central NY dealerships. About 5 years ago I put them in a photo album. I will post pics later.
IMO the sticker indicated original paint when I was looking at used cars back in the '70's. :Twocents:
Have you seen my old '69 Charger??

If you were in the Navy, I'm told that the flags the roadrunner is flying spells out MAIN , for Main Chrysler Plymouth, that was in Buffalo NY.

I personally won't advertise for anyone on my cars , but hey , it's your car.  :shruggy:

So you wouldn't like this, huh?   I laugh my butt off every time I see a vehicle from this place around town.  I would refuse to sign the papers if this crap was on the vehicle.

The last new cars I've bought I've told the dealer I want a penny a mile to advertise for them or they can leave it off.  None have offerred to pay for use of my deck lid space.

You almost sound like a lawyer..... :scratchchin: ;)

Yeah, I have a comment.  I ordered and bought a new 71 R/T from a dealer in Fallon, Nevada.  It was the time of the holes in the trunk dealer name.  When I ordered the car I told the salesman not to put their name on it or I would not buy the car.  The didn't.  Buw what nerve for a dealership to drill holes in a new car trunk lid.  C'mon.  Got to www.marlia.com to see the second r/t I bought.  Kim

My 73 survivor has the dealer sticker on the deck lid. I would not remove it as it is part of the history of this car.

I have mixed feelings about this.  My car had one of the metal letter strips on the back----- "Tait's Huntsville Dodge".  I took it off but saved it.  Now I also have the original window sticker as well as the original bill of sale both with that dealers name.  Additionally, this dealer is no longer in business.  So from a historical standpoint, it's kind of interesting.  But I still don't know if I would put it back on the car after the restoration is complete.  Might just put in a shadow box along with the documents mentioned.

ACUDANUT

My friend ordered a new Chevy Uplander, and he told them NO DEALER Stuff.  When he went to pick it up, they drilled two holes in the front bumper for a dealer's plate.  He was so pissed off, that he refused to accept it and walked off.

TUFCAT

Drilling holes in a brand new car is totally sacreligious!!  I would've done the same thing!   :RantExplode:
