Sink the Bismarck.

I'd like to see what new cgi stuff can do with the sea battles.

Watch "Dogfights" on the History channel. Not only do they analyitically dissect all the famous plane dogfights and show you phenominal cgi of the view from both cockpits as the battle rages, they are now doing the major sea battles. Just watched the Leyte Gulf episode and it followed the Yamato from her running away at Leyte up to her demise trying to get to Okinawa. And to hear the stories from the guys that are still alive is incredible. The effort to be historically accurate and the rendering of the cgi is jaw-dropping.

They have also done the Hood/Bismarck/hunt and sinking of Bismarck episode. Time well spent.

Not movies for entertainment by a long shot. Just the facts as shown from both sides. Both heroism and blunders are fully portrayed.

I've "probably" seen every documentary on the Bismarck ever made.

Dogfights is good...   it just gets annoying with the commercial breaks.

Speaking of Yamato... there's a Japanese film from 2005 - Otoko-tachi no Yamato.   I found some clips on utube.
Not US released.  http://youtube.com/watch?v=l-FaVVtjItg

I don't know, but the remake of King Kong was awesome, the part of the plot about making the film,  and jack black was great, and the dinasours, the special effects, kong having more character, that new Kong movie is great,

hmm, that godzilla movie with the ferris beuler guy, that was crummy, they could do that.

another great remake, the punisher, first one with dolf was not so good, the last one with travolta and can't remember the stars name, great remake,

the ending of the legend didn't like, part of it, don't want to ruin movie,   and the ending of man on fire, although both movies are great cept for part of the ending I would change,

can't think of that many bad movies have seen in last ten years, there were a lot of bad eighties movies, can't remember much of the nineties,
there was a movie, was about greek mythology characters, battle of the titans?  they did sort of clay animation special effects of the creatures,
there was another movie also like that, a guys name and something adventure, maybe these were in the seventies, they could be remade  with the special effects they have now,

the poseidon adventure remake was not as good as the old one of course, why try to remake a movie that was a four star movie?

They should remake movies that were a cool idea but done poorly,   like the incredible hulk, that was crummy,

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

The Black Hole  ;D

This would be a good one! :yesnod:   I have it on video tape yet. Awsome movie. Some of the effects really are still pretty good like when the meteor come into the ship as a big ball of fire :yesnod:

I've got that on DVD, not a bad flick overall. Mickey Roarke is sure a buff UGLY dude these days..

Christine shouldn't be remade, it should stay the way it is. :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yeah, I guess so...but use a 80's & newer car. No killing anymore classics.
Problem is that I can't think of any newer cars that look mean enough to fill the bill. :scratchchin:

I would like to see John Carpenters "The Thing" remade. I think it would be awsome with todays specials effects, if done right.

I'd love to see any of the Dirty Harry movies redone. I love the originals, but a fresh look at a great story would be nice. Bullitt would also make a great remake. :D

Yes, its gotta be a new Charger, triple black, but there is no way they better use a new mustang, it has to be the old classic fastback year/model everything that McQueen drove in the original Bullit.     :eyes:
