what movie do you want to see RE-MADE ?

there are quit a few that id like to see a RE MAKE of just to moderenize and my retell the story a bit . such as  " I AM LEGEND" the REMAKE of the 1971 " THE OMEGA MAN " i dont mind them twisting the storys or changing the chareters in some cases but i really hate when they botch a perfectly good old move like " VANISHING POINT " but the remake of " DAWN OF THE DEAD " was perfect 

id like to see a re make of call me crazy  " DAMNATION ALLEY " i dig B movies , i think it could be made into a great movie with CGI and special effects of today .

Another favorite 70's movie that I would love to see remade is Capricorn One. 

Also "the philidelphia Experiment"  Michael Pare starred and it was a crappy movie, but the plot is worthy enough to be made into an actual good movie.

I agree, both stories were great.    I love any kind of time travel flick, even the cheesy ones. 


Totally unrelated, but for some reason this one popped in my head, "Twilight's Last Gleaming" with Burt Lancaster. Maybe because of the 70's movie mention & Kirk Douglas?     Great story & I remember seeing it in the theater with my dad.

I would love to see that too.  There are so many stories like that from WWII.  I would pretty much see any film made about anything from WWII.  Such a pivotal time in our history, I am fascinated by it, almost obsessed.....

both good ones, but I would like a different ending actually, where the carrier beats the holy living piss out of the entire japanese fleet and the U.S. gets vaulted 50 years into the future with new techology.

i agree, ever since i did a report on the bismarck in highschool, ive been collecting the models, pictures and as much info i can on her, I guess im kinda obessed aas well.  Loved the discovery film where they dove down and found here and the miles of wreckage. and they determined that the germans sank her not the british

Not only do they analyitically dissect all the famous plane dogfights and show you phenominal cgi of the view from both cockpits as the battle rages, they are now doing the major sea battles. Just watched the Leyte Gulf episode and it followed the Yamato from her running away at Leyte up to her demise trying to get to Okinawa. And to hear the stories from the guys that are still alive is incredible. The effort to be historically accurate and the rendering of the cgi is jaw-dropping.

They have also done the Hood/Bismarck/hunt and sinking of Bismarck episode. Time well spent.

Not movies for entertainment by a long shot. Just the facts as shown from both sides. Both heroism and blunders are fully portrayed.
