Hmm, I kinda thought that might be the case. I pulled this info off an old insurance voucher, yeah, one from 1969. Do you think perhaps there had been a typo by the secretary inputting the VIN for the car. What info is missing? Should that "5" be an "S" or an "S" inserted between "X5"?

Try this:
XS29L9B152118

I think it is suppose to be this:
XS29L9B152118

The insurance card however, reads it just like this...which is obviously incorrect:
X529L9B152    118

It's not my car, good luck you picked the right site, and don't worry about contacting Chris, no thread gets past him, he will let you know for sure. :yesnod:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Got your email Eric & replied.  Sorry I don't have it in the registry as of yet.  Kind of odd but I only have one car that was built at the St. Louis plant (G) with the "152" as the first 3 of the VIN...no Hamtramck (B) built cars either...
Like I said in the email I will add you in the "lost" section with you as the contact.

Good luck!

Don't get us Chris's confused. The '69 dude has 5K posts. I tend to be more of a responsible moderator and less of a post machine...unlike my NY counterpart.  :P

69_500

Side note here, I went through my list of VIN"s and came up with 2 cars that fall in the 152xxx range. Both are B plant cars, and as most could guess they are for 500's.

198
199

I would have sent the VIN's to you for the registry for the 69's Chris, but I didn't write anything else about the cars down, just the VIN's.
