I understand the good quilaty of the part, but $179 for a frick'n side marker? did they remember the jar of anal lube?
BUT, if your spending the other guys insuance $$, then go for it. :Twocents:

I love Chargers, but one thing I love as much is a good sense of humor or a funny line.  " $179 for a frick'n side marker? did they remember the jar of anal lube?"
Man I was laughing about that for at least 1/2 hour after I read it.  Come on, is it just me?  that's funny. :smilielol: :smilielol:  Somebody help me here. :hah:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Cool, the north Alabama division of the  Dodge Charger Message board, SWEET!!!

You guys get to the Huntsville Mopar show each year?

Member JudHudson is a member of that club as well.

Yep, live here in Huntsville too.  I have the 73' Charger General Lee that is often on the road (when I'm not working on it).

Never had any dealings with Stephens but I have some others..and sometimes u can stumble across a good deal but most of the time they will try and pull one over on you..and it's gonna stay that way until the after market really catches up and sells more Mopar stuff.  :rotz:

Now, if your looking for some Camaro parts or chevy truck parts then u can get them at a good deal or just go to any Napa or walmart and get what ya need (sarcasm of course  :D).

Anybody see that the Stephens is offering '70 cuda reproduction front grilles? Wonder how much those cost compared to a $179 side marker light and bezel...    :eek2:

Me and my boss at work were discussing how much it would cost to build one of these cars today along the lines of the Johnny Cash song, "I built it one piece at a time."  You'd have about $800 just in side marker lights and bezels.

But my car got hit by some clueless broad -- I'm curious to know what it's going to do to her insurance premiums!!!

I live in NW Alabama, about a 10 minute drive from Ted. I don't like doing business with him because he is a jerk. I bought a couple of repop items a few years ago, and I just didn't like his attitude.  I would rather pay truck freight on a part 2000 miles away than to drive 10 min and buy from that @sshole.

Some may not realize ....(so don't feel like I'm painting with one brush).  He's dealing in the parts business.  How many of us would've had the forsight to put out the cash, and the risk to make his initial investment 20 years ago.....? Not to mention the substantial amount of property, careful storage, cleaning, dis-assembly, cataloging, numbering, and advertising expense?  "Profit" is not a dirty word.  I don't think he got filthy rich because of his investment.  Sure, he's making an honest  living  - - which is okay by me.  My guess is that he (like those who only dream to) has found a job he loves.  As far as him being an a-hole.....I can't comment on that because I don't know the situation.

When you're in business, you can't please all people all of the time.....those you can't please, ....will think your an a-hole.  I can think of one well-known (east coast ) vendor with such a bad disposition that it makes Ted look like an alter boy in comparison!  The bottom line is that Ted performs a valuable service to the hobby. If his prices are too high, you can always search elsewhere.  Other vendors are available to satisfy the price conscious crowd.  Buy the way, I have friends like that -  who complain about the prices,  and when you look at their cars, you'll see the difference.  :scratchchin:
