How come I never see window tint on older cars?? now before you all say something about wanting to be seen driving your beauties   is there a reason for it? or people just don't like the way it looks?? and just for the record im not talking about bling bling limo tint  :coolgleamA: but just a little shade for those hot sunny summer days....

The70RT

Chargers came out with tint, but not much 10-15% ? Someone on here posted a pic with dark tint before though.

Lots of 3rd gens have a tint. A/C cars did nearly all the time. My 74 has all tinted windows. My 73 has everything tinted except the windshield and drivers side glass which was replaced at some point, both are a/c cars. The tint on the cars isn't black it's more of a blue that is unnoticeable unless compared to non-tinted.

There used to be a guy in town here with a black 68 done up with the bling bling limo tint and I have to admit that it didn't look bad on the car.  I can't picture it on mine though.  Just used to seeing the car the way it is maybe?

Limo tint on rear three windows and 6" front sunshade keeping the tint all legal....this has helped with interior heat in the summer tremendously being an all black vynil interior....all my glass is factory tint as well...

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

I have pretty dark tinting on my car.

I personally don't like dark tint on older cars.  I think it kind of clashes with the chrome around the windows.

Do you have any really unclutered straight and level shots of the car from ten, twenty or thirty feet? If you do and they are usable I can probably manipulate them for you.

I have pretty dark tinting on my car.

Not a fan of tint at all except original tint (like mine), but that Dukes car is very sharp, tint or not. :icon_smile_tongue:  Whats the story on Dukes and R/T?  Were they R/T  cars ?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

sick dawg

My charger is a factory a/c car and has tinted glass. It's green and not very dark, but it's dark enough to notice the windows are tinted.

They were all over the map. It was never officially an R/T car nor was it ever not officially, I think.
