Why? aren't there enough stock RTs about...its only about the value of a badge and a few drivetrain parts...oh,and 1 letter on the vin
I bet xp cars are fairly thin on the ground in turkey..maybe he wanted to build the car he had the way he wanted it, instead of how everyone else tells him to

I can't imajine anyone going from that stock cherry looking one to that black bruiser and not killing themselves from remorse...
you'd have to be pretty twisted to spray bomb that grill and such. Both are great looking examples of the breed but i doubt they're the same car...
any chance we can get a translation of the specs?.

Brock Samson

:scratchchin: yeah but are you sure that's the same car. me thinks not...  :shruggy:

terrible one

You would think that they could at least clean up the wheels/tires and get some center caps for the shoot!

That is very nice

QuoteNow here's a hypothetical question: Suppose somebody came on this forum and had a mint Daytona Charger. And they decided to take a pick-axe to the sheetmetal because they were told that the resultant "speed-holes" would increase it's top end speed.
And then they sent along a bunch of pictures to show that they've followed through on their idea.

LOL

Dude, look at the car and turn your nose down a little. It'll fill with rain, considering the angle off attack.

If it had been hatchet bodywork and crappy workmanship, I could understand having an attitude. Not the case here at all.

I quit even reading Vins and body tags years ago when the fakes started popping up. What I want to know is "does it have a clear title"? So what if it's a cherry 69 R/T? I just hope like hell he did something with the crappy brakes and burn my car to the ground wiring. The steering geometry and front suspension needs a little work too. I can nitpick that crappy stock R/T all day long if you want. :nana:

I consider myself one of the lucky ones. My first charger was a 68 R/T. Since then I have owned most likely every combination of Charger known. I even had a slant six car. I had a 70 with a 70 roadrunner doghouse on it, talk about weird looking (the previous owner couldn't find the charger stuff and had his cousin do the deed). Were I to post pics of an abomination like that I would expect condolences at best and much ridicule at worst.

Fact of the matter is, the car is very nice. I think it's pretty cool, considering it's in Turkey. The owner of the car most likely can afford any car he wants, but he made his choice. :2thumbs:

III, we are everywhere

Steve P.

My BLACK car was GOLD before too.   I don't see any hack work on that car. Matter of fact I think it looks great. Yup, my  :Twocents:

I like to see dirty tires too. That just tells me that the car is driven. Not a trailer queen. I personally have more respect for the guys that build them to drive them than the ones that never see the road. Again, just my  :Twocents:

By the way, welcome Academian 97.  One thing is for sure around here. Everyones opinion counts. EVERYONE'S   ;)

Ok, so I'm a bit hard on our Turkish brother.
We are all entitled to our opinions, correct?
From what I've been told, my opinion is as worthy as the next guy.

It is my opinion is that the car was absolutely beautiful before it was hacked upon. And after the modifications, even with the addition of a Hemi, it is a lesser vehicle for the effort.

Am I a big prick for saying so? I think not.
I draw your attention to comments made on these threads:

Now I know that in a perfect world, there would be lots of Chargers out there for everybody to personify in whatever way they'd like.
Which we often see on this forum.
However, given the previous condition of this particular car, and that it was an R/T, I cannot endorse, condone, or even pretend to accept the modifications that were carried out.
And being a military guy like I am....that is how we talk.

Now here's a hypothetical question: Suppose somebody came on this forum and had a mint Daytona Charger. And they decided to take a pick-axe to the sheetmetal because they were told that the resultant "speed-holes" would increase it's top end speed.
And then they sent along a bunch of pictures to show that they've followed through on their idea.

Would it be proper protocol to endorse their decision, thereby qualifying their actions, all in the attempt to be seen as an equitable or agreeable person? (Even if you might not agree with it?)

there is a difference between applying a constructive criticism and just being downright rude.  I agree that you have your opinion about the car, and that is okay, but the means in which you provided that opinion was brash.  that is all I was saying.  you can express your opinion, that is fine, just do it in a way that is not demeaning, vulgar, or rude.

I am not the internet police by anymeans and I dont want to sound like your keeper, but I just thought since this guy was from a different country, and a mopar lover to boot, we could have been better ambassadors you know?

I apologize if I ruffled your feathers with my post. no harm no foul k?
