i think 1 galon 10 USD.

edit:
sorry, we re using liters not galons, i have mis converted it.

1 liter gas= 3,1 TL= 2 USD

1 galon = 3,78 liters

1 galon = 7,5 USD

this has also got me to wonderin' what other chargers are squirreled away around the globe,.. in France In Japan, etc...  :scratchchin:

Funny you bring that up. I was looking around in places I didn't belong the other day, when I noticed many American muscle cars being advertised for sale in Japan, China, Singapore etc.  I was shocked....

Crikies!  Say it aint so  :'(  Car was complete down to the AC!
It is a real R/T car as well.

I'm trying to look for differences (original car had AC, this car had AC, column shift....this one had the column changed, clock--no tach etc)

The front rims with the wrong trim rings are both the same as well as the tires.
Don't get me wrong the black car is nice, I just cant see modifying a car as complete & as "done" as the T5 car was....

PS----I emailed Serkan (owner or prev owner of the T5 car) to see if he still has his car and pasted a link to this topic....

Nice car. As for turning a car like the one auctioned to something like this, people can do whatever he/she wants. They paid for it. Now I must ask a very important question, how many dodgecharger.com sites are there? The reason I ask is I see responses to replies I don't see. Just curious.
Nothing personal, just business

Hi,

if that nice T5 bronze Charger RT got conmverted into a Street machine: I feel sory for the car.
There are plenty of non RTs out there which would have been better to be used for a project like this.

Best Mopar greetings from germany

there is something from this though.. if someone can do that, it can be undone... the car's future as a modified car can be undone.

look at it this way, at least the car is not ROTTING away in some American's backyard saying they are going to restore it someday, but instead its out, in another country, hauling ass and bring American culture to those who do not have personal experience with it.  :2thumbs:

Well I got email confirmation that Serkan did indeed sell the car at auction....the buyer promised him he wouldn't modify the car......The black hemi car was indeed the restored T5 car in the before pics..... :rotz:

Hey, the guy paid the money for the car. Owns the car. The car is his to do with it what he wants.  It may not be what many of us would have done or what we would like to have seen done, but it was not our car to make that choice.   I happen to like the car. Maybe it isn't so easy to get your hands on this type car in Turkey. It's not so easy to get your hands on this type car in Florida!!

Take a pill and welcome the man.  :slap:

I like the car both ways & don't think modifying it is as bad as some people make it out to be. Personally, I'd have done it to a different car, but think about it from the owners perspective. He got a car that was complete, which is the best way to go with him being on the other side of the planet where parts would be just a tad difficult to find.

Also, do you know how many of these cars were modified when they were just a few years old? A lot of us did it because that's what we wanted, a car with our own personal touch. Maybe he got bored real fast with driving 40 year old technology & made some upgrades. I think the fact that someone so far away from here liked a Charger enough to do this is pretty cool.

One last thought to add. It makes sense to me to find the best Charger example you can to eliminate a lot of work. Work like marginal aftermarket sheetmetal with bondo. Chances are you'll find a mint RT that someone restored using the best of everything to do it & not a clean 318 cruiser. If you have a budget in mind to spend, or a time frame to do the modifications, this one may have saved on both.

I'm also thinking that in Turkey or any other country, an American car, any American car, won't have the same sense of "history" or "nostalgic" value to it that we put on it. We probably look at our cars differently, & may have a better idea of which ones we'd use for a modified project. Someone else from someplace else, might just see a really cool car. Like RD posted, it can always be put back to stock condition.

I've found plenty of 3rd generation chargers in Sweden, Norway, even one in Iceland. I even found a picture of a '71 R/T at the Kuwait Auto Show in Decmeber of 2005.

If you want to know where several hundred '71 Chargers are at, visit my website at:
