I don't think it's enough time myself. Another famous person getting off easy is the way I see it :icon_smile_dissapprove:

I read that on MSN as well, didn't even know about the trial or that he was arrested. To me it seems low, but the other "non famous", I believe, people involved also got simular penalties. It seems it is a fair punishment according to the "system", doesn't mean I agree, I love animals (dogs, cats, whatever) and I think that people who treat them in that manner should be treated along the same lines. It says a lot about a person if they can find satisfaction in hurting animals (and no I am not talking about hunting, etc, I'm referring to hanging, drowning or some other crual method helpless doggs)

no, good behavior may let him out 3 months earlier.

I don't know, I think the sentence is fair. We've seen people who have killed other human beings get less than that.

I was going to say, the reports I've seen said that the earliest he could possibly be released even with good behavior is the summer of 2009. By that time it will have been 3 seasons since he last played football, and I'd expect at least a 1 year ban from the NFL following his release, pretty much ending his NFL career.

Not that I personally thought he was all that great as a QB in the NFL, great athlete yes, great at running the ball, but as far as throwing was concerned definately average.

Arthu®

My bad I misread that earlier on, but like I said it does seem like a fair punishment.

There's at least one guy in the NFL right now who killed another human being. While he's dancing around on a field, a family is without their's. Leonard Little is who I am talking about. He got off, but he knows he will have to live with it forever.

That's a good example. Though it's not limited to athletes. More than once I've read about someone killing another person and pleading to some BS involuntary manslaughter charge, or blaming it on being spanked as a kid, and getting off with little or no jail time.

23 months for what he did is not appropriate.  The should have put a get of jail free card in one end zone of a football field.  Then put him in the other end zone naked.  Then put 10 pitbulls on the 50 yard line and put up a steel cage all around the whole thing.  If you get the card, you don't go to jail.  No trying to be cute...but I would love to see some dogs get some revenge on this prick.

Pretty sad seeing guys on the Falcon sidelines supporting him. He was guilty after all, wasn't he? I hope I don't see a Saint supporting him.

Now that would be fun to watch. :yesnod:

I don't care if he was a football player, his stats , or his career. This guy is sick and he should have been hammered by the law. Where does it end ?
It is a well known fact that serial killers start out by abusing animals.I don't think that just because you are famous or have money that you should get off easy.He will probably do time in a White Collar Country Club Prison .  What ever happened to Justice ?
