Well I am a Dukes freak but only because of the original series. The 2005 movie was probably one of the worst movies ever made and I'm sure this Dukes Beginning garbage will be much worse if possible. I sure won't waste my time watching it.

dukes freaks wont watch it, i guess  cause it ain't up to the quality levels real dukes fans expect.. or maybe it's the production values or maybe the dialog aint up to thier high standards..
perhaps the cinimatography isn't sophisticated to the sundance goers, those that don't like dukes or G.Ls or '69 being what's that word?. "wrack"?.. wracked wont watch it..
so you think... the prices aint goin up huh?..  :smilielol:

sure. sure...

I think that since the GL is a cartoon joke of a car they should use the new Creeder Charger. The car fits the role.

wow...sure am glad that it has been since 1979 when the dukes first aired and we still can't find anything better to argue about...  :rotz:
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Ghoste

I'm just glad they aren't airing it against American Idol.

hey Hemihead, the GL is a race car! or do you know what a race car pose to look like? ;D, guess you must call all race cars cartoon joke cars then  :-\. last I knew a race car had numbers on the doors and a race car driver name on the roof, well to the GL it had numbers on the doors (01) and a name on the roof but wasn't the driver name though but the car itself (General Lee), he must have driven him self LOL.. which is what they do call Remote Control  ;D. Also if they would use the Creeder Charger people would love that probly alot an use it as the potrol cars.

this really very funny.

yup - it couldn't be scripted better.

How about this then? Remember the old FBI series with Efrem Zimbalist Jr.? How a panhead Harley could obviously change into a Yanaha DT-1 painted white with a windshield and saddlebags while off road and next scene be back to the panhead?
Well this new DOH can have a 1969 GL run up to a ramp and a poor scene change into the Magnum sedan version leaping or ramping or whatever and flies into the wild blue yonder, flies in the order of 500 feet or more and hits shattering into several hundred pieces.  Another hack  chop back into a mint '69 GL on rebound and off to the horizon. And of course the sound of rubber howling while on gravel, grass  and all the other good stuff. 1/2 way through the budget couldn't afford to paint and dress the Magnum sedans and are filmed as delivered - black, yellow, blue - just a masking taped 01 on the doors.

Did anyone watch Dukes movie. It was pretty cool. The only thing is everyone saw them wreck the general in the tree. I wish i could have the luck they had finding the car just diving in to a revine!!

Indeed, I watched it for about 30 minutes :eek2: finally turned it off - it was a total slap in the face and disgrace to Dukes fans.

:scratchchin: well it must really be pretty awful if the dukes fans don't like it...  :pity:

There are no words to describe how bad it was. :eek2:

Just think:

WB gave them something like $8 million dollars for the "DOH-beginning" shoot.
And that's what they did with it.

I'm pretty sure I could have shot that low budget piece of crap for about $5,000.

Mike DC

Yeah.  Incredible what they can manage to make stuff cost these days.

Modern Hollywood could probably find a way to make a "Blair Witch" flick cost $20 million.
I'm not even kidding with this speculation.
