without the Charger scallop cues and shark mouth inspired grill coke bottle shape and a drive to do it as a 2 door or at least an option to have a 2 door version. The next version will never be the Charger I or a lot of other people here would like to see.

+1. Remember the OCT/NOV 2007 VOL.1 Issue 1 Mopar Enthusiast? I know some people dont like it but it was well received by most. I think all it needs is a little tweaking. I would buy it with/without tweaking. I hope this is the direction they decide to go.

(Pics supposedly have nothing to do with actual Chrysler sketches)

I`m saying what if Ford and GM decide to have their own heritage divisions. Using the Camaro/Mustang platforms and outsourcing the bodywork would not be too expensive to do and very possible. If Chrysler can pull it off why not Ford and GM?

That being said, I dont know what car other than the Mustang, Ford could use.  :hah: :shruggy:

Well they could easily do what they did back in the late 60s and roll out a Cougar version built on the Mustang platform, that is if Mercury isn't tossed like Plymouth.

The new Charger concepts above look OK, kinda like an Acura NSX.

Just so you know, they got the taillights wrong, those must be the new Challenger taillights on loan until the four round ones come in from R&D!  :nana:

I kinda like this Charger version better:

Cool news   :2thumbs:

I can think of a few.. Just pull out any old Hot Rod Mag. from the 60's or 70's. It will be loaded with cars that had style and class.

By the way, welcome aboard...  and ah, you are not the only ghost we have watching us...  :coolgleamA:

Ya I guess your right. I shouldnt say that. Heritage does go back a long way. I do have 2 Mustangs I must confess. I dont know much about Ford(allways been a Mopar guy), All I can think of that would be cool enough from Ford are all 2 seaters. I guess how this heritage division thing would work is by what I see Chrysler is outsoucing The Challenger then a company like HXC makes the molds for the body(havent heard of any interior changes to the car)1,500 to start. I think this would work well on the cheap especially if they built the cars per-order.

lol! I love 68`s also. Equally to the 69`s. To me the 68 is the most beautiful and the 69 looks the most mean of the 2. My 70 R/T allways seemed larger looking for some odd reason, never understood that. Heritage division would give Chrysler leeway to use the plymouth name once again. :2thumbs:

If your looking for another 2 seater ford they have done it already. The T-Bird.  I would love to see a bunch of the 60's and 70's car make a come back. Javelin. Cuda, Torino GT, 64' Sport Fury, 68' Chevelle, 70-71 Duster, Demon, Many New Yorkers.... Man, cars had CLASS back in the day...  Today they all look the same.. How about bringing back some classy Crown Imperials??  SS tops and lugage strap trunk lids.

I have a 1976 Chrysler Cordoba that has more class than those things they call Chargers today.. And I would rather be driving it too...

I agree with most of what has been already stated. Except for the fact that not everyone considers the 2nd Gen Charger to be the best looking.

Fine, make it look like a '71 or a '66. I don't care. Anything that pays tribute to the classic Charger we celebrate here ('66-'74) would be a far cry better than what the Germans decided a Charger was and is. What they built should not be called a Charger. <------ Period.

Here's my two cents...in which a picture is worth more than...
Lengthen the car, Charger's are long, low and lean! Think "B body" not "E body".
Reshape the wheelwell to this classic contour, forget the round shape. - Mustang's got that covered -

I think we're getting a bit gready here...  The new chally isn't even on the market and we're still crying for a 2 door charger?    I'm pissed that they killed my magnum.

Just remember, If your talking about doing a new 2nd gen charger. It beter follow the old 2nd gen charger styling cues or your going to loose the interest from most of your 2nd gen fans here.

PS- you also better bring back my color Dark metallic green! :flame:

I dont know, I wish they could too but maybe its too much to ask. I`m not unreasonable, I could live with what they can do. It`s at least a step in the right direction.
