I am taking the 400 mile round trip starting at 6am tomorrow morning to go pick up what will soon become the new 440 hp heart of my 70 RT Clone project.  Contrary to the comments received on this board about the mass availability of 440's at low prices, I was not able to find one of those but did locate one that I think is a reasonable price.

I will post some pictures of the progress on the rebuild.

Cool deal.

My 440 is almost done (getting ready to order the headers soon).

Still haven't started on the body work on my car though. Hell, I haven't even blasted it yet.

I agree, i couldnt find a decently priced 440 with in 400 miles of me either, thats why i ended up with a 400 instead that I got a good price on from another member on here, the only 440s i could find locally were going for over 700 bucks not running and in need of a rebuild,

I suppose it's one of those regional things.  There are a few around here for less than that but there are a couple of guys with junk 440's for sale that want huge money for them.  No surprise the ones that have the hefty price tags have been for sale for a few years now.  :shruggy:
