Nacho-RT74

he does ask SPECIFICALLY about the 3 colored scale gauges inserted, because they are not the stock ones

Yes, I would like to know where the colored gauages come from/ where to order.   The pic of is of 69 charger.

Somebody must know?

GreenMachine

It looks like they say "Auto gage" which is Autometers cheap line of gauges I believe. From the looks of them, I would say they are older and probably not made anymore. But I could be wrong as he says it's a recent restoration.
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

Wow, good job man.

It looks like I would have to cut the back of my guage cluster to get these to fit?  I was hopeing they would go right in?  Any ideas?

i'm doing a full set of autometer phantom II's in my stock cluster.. and yes you may have to do a lil cutting & massaging to get them to fit in the gauge frame.. try this link..

They are Autogauge 1.5 inch - I know because I installed these gauges in that picture.  I do this with all my charger builds since the new gauges are so much more accurate than the originals.  You do have to cut the back of the cluster off and build a new mounting bracket, and rewire,  but i've found it to be worth it. I've done this on 6 cars so far without any problems.

Just out of curiousity, what do you usually do with the old guages after you take them out of there?

HITMAN 149

I've got stacks of them.  I sold a batch of about 20 on ebay earlier this year.  I stopped using them after I got tired of gauges that looked fine and seemed to test fine, not working fine all the time,  I prefer accuracy and piece of mind to originality anyday.
