Anybody know where to get 1 inch or larger torsion bars at a good price?

Troy

Firm Feel? $260. I know most of this stuff went up over the last year or so. You used to be able to get MP bars for $199 per set but now they're $299.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I just ordered  a set from Rick at Firmfeel.. the 1 inch bars from them  just this week  to go with the stage 2 power steering box I have already installed.    I hope to add the front and rear big bars as well next year..  It will be after the holidays before I  get them installled though.

Great people to deal with.... I highly recommend them.

Firm Feel is the only place to get 1"+ torsion bars as MP have discontinued their production of anything larger than .96"   :RantExplode:

Sway bars are available from Addco as Kuda mentioned as well as Firm Feel. I got my massive sway bars from Hotchkis before they stopped making them. 1 3/8" front and 1" rear    :2thumbs:

Dudes! I went to a Chrysler Dealership and they had a set of MP 1.22 torsion bars in their database at another dealership. I just got them today for $160!

That is nearly 1 1/4 inches! what is the spring rate (firm feels 1.18 bars are rated at 338)? do you have a part number? If the parts department is open tomorrow I know where I will be going! the Bars in my 72 are shot; one side is as adjusted as far as it will go and I barely can go over the smallest of dips/bumps without bottoming out!  :brickwall:

BROCK

Here is a list of old DC part numbers with roll rates.
These are the 62-72 B bars. The spring rate starts
to increase in a hurry as the diameter increases.

...DIA....ROLL RATE......PART
.inches.....LB/FT........NUMBER
..0.86.........90
..0.88.........95
..0.90........100
