3rd Gen Rallye Clock Voltage?

What voltage does a 3rd gen rallye clock run at. I am using a computer power supply to test it and it spins really fast at 12v and 5v. I want to get it to run off the supply and use it as a clock inside.

clocks are electro/mechanical and not electric. Electric impulse is just to wind out the mechanical system and make it work.

More voltage winds more the system and gets more time before need to be winded up again ( next click ), but doesn't make it works faster or slower. I have made work a clock testing the system when I was fixing one, I made it work with a 9 volts batt for 2 days on my desk. Just heard more click by hour because was being less winded up.

What does make it work faster or slower is an internal spiral spring coil.

As far you start to adjust the clock to backwards, the spring tension is released to get it slower, and backards... when you get forwarded the clock, then spring tenison is increased making it work faster. that is until you get teh right timing

Is there an easy way to make a permanent testing station using an AC to DC power supply?

you can keep using the computer power supply, and start to get backwards the adjistning knob... starts 12 hours back ( one complete turn )

Can you clarify what you mean? Whenever I plug in the power supply, the second hand turns at about 2200rpm and will do that forever if I dont un plug it.

HATE TO TELL YA- THE CLOG THAT MAKES IT TICK BACK AND FORTH IS BROKEN/STUCK- so it goes fast!!!!!
