I heard they exist but I've never actually seen one. Anyone here have one? Any pics.

I had a 70 charger 500 with a slant six three on the tree.  I cant find my pics.  I know there are a few people here that have talked about having them as well.  Very rare but not worth anything.

I don't own a leaning tower of power Charger, but here is a picture of one I saw in Madison on 2004 and then in Boerne in 2005.  When I started looking for a Charger in 1986, I walked away from a '70 Charger in decent shape because it ahd a bench seeat, a three on the tree and a slant 6.  They only wanted $800.00 for it.  It wasn't until about five years later I learned of my mistake!

I had a 73 /6.

No pics of it, but I did just find the registration and insurance card the other day..

I drove my buddy's '68 slant 6 Charger to Chryslers at Carlisle this past summer on Friday, both of us rode up in it on Saturday. It's orange and in need of a full resto, but runs and drives great.

I own one of the base models of that year with that combo.  Only 28 Charger 500s got the /6 that year, with one an 500SE.  There were 104 of the lower trim base /6, three on the tree manuals made like my Charger.  Mine is bright red exterior, black vinyl top (currently missing) and a charcoal bench seat interior.  Very few options, but did come with a radio and a locking gas cap.  It is rather rough (very rusty underneath), but will be restored in due time.  It is my favorite project Charger to work on........

Those wheels and tires look tiny on that car.

Good excuse to try out my new scanner:

Here is my 74 /6 Charger. Bought it for $150 and drove the wheels off of it. It also served as my truck - I installed a cotter pin in the passenger front seat hinge so the seat could removed so as to carry large stuff. I once fit a complete 4-drawer file cabinet inside this way.

That's cool, I've never seen one in a 68 before.  A couple of 70's and a handful of 3rd gens and that's it.  I guess the average Charger buyer in the 66 to 74 era just wasn't a base model kind of buyer.

Had a chance years ago to buy an original '68 Charger, 225 leaning tower of power, and 3spd manual trans on column.....wish I would have got it now.

Bryan  (oh well)

That would be the a cool summer daily driver.Classic styling and decent mpg.

Don't forget bulletproof reliability and a length of service time that makes most other engines cry.

I don't know. I always thought it should be illegal to put a /6 in such a large car, for safety reasons. How do you merge onto the highway with one of those slugs? Kind of scary. Adequate in an A body, but a B body? No way. In lieu of a big block I'd rather have a 318; more oomph and identical MPG.  :Twocents:

Ghoste

They put a lot of them into pickup trucks and vans as well and they seemed to have enough oomph.  :shruggy:

They were also installed in motorhomes.....Cortez Motorhome's....front wheel drive.
