putting my rear drums back on after changing to dana:
there is 3 big springs.the 2 that are the same go to the top anchor bit near the brake cylinder.
my question is:
where the hell does the other one go?
there is an adjuster at the bottom and it goes near that, but how does it fasten?
am i right in thinking there is a little ratchet style thing that fastens to the spring and adjuster?
if so it was missing when i stripped it.as there is one on the right side
if someone could post a pic,it would be greatly appreciated.
i ve looked in the workshop manual and its a bit vague
cheers

There are several configurations depending on the year/model. Does it look like this pic?
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Some self-adjusters don't have a spring in the cable end like the pic I posted, the cable end just has a hook but the lower spring installs the same in either.

If there is no self-adjuster the spring is hooked lower on the shoe and rides on the starwheel to keep it from moving.
