I just passed my Ph.D. defense today.  Five professors questioned me for two hours strait to determine my limits of knowledge in chemistry.  I still need to make major revisions on my disseration before I can graduate (working on getting a time extension for this), but the hard part is now behind me, only writing to go........

Thanks guys, I've been in college a long, long time for this (Bill Clinton had not been elected when I first started).  If you ever have to change colleges before getting a degree, alot of the credits won't always transfer over (additional $ for them).  I ran into a lot of problems along the way that delayed me by a few years, but that is now behind me.   That mess is another story that I may sit down and write a book about later (probably as long as my dissertation was ).  Now, on to the job hunt (probably will go into industry in the area of catalytic or sensor design) so I can afford to restore my toys.......
