HI GUYS, i HAVE A 400 IN MY '68, PUT IT IN 9 YEARS AGO FOR A 100 BUCKS AND IT STILL RUNS GREAT. I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL 383( CANT AFFORD TO BUILD IT NOW)
BUT WHAT WOULD THE 383 HEADS DO ON THE 400 PERFORMANCE WISE.
THANKS FOR INPUT.

The 383 and 400 heads will be basicly the same open chamber design so there's no performance gain by simply swapping heads....unless the 383 heads have been ported. I would leave the 400 engine intact if it runs good.  :Twocents:
