I didn't know Kim had much of a following in the US.  I'm impressed.

I remember the "Go For Soda" song, but that is about it.

A NEW MANOWAR CD!!!! One more 80's metal band that is still around.

Dirty Looks has a new cd out too. It goes back to their 80's roots. It's really good.

Go here http://www.nehrecords.com to the cd section, then in the "D" section, look up Dirty Looks - "Gasoline" They have samples of the songs you can play. The song "Through Your Eyes" kicks ass!

I buy like 75% of all my cds now from these guys. I also bought the new Kim Mitchell - "Ain't Life Amazing" cd from them. The cd is also very good. A little darker then most of his previous stuff. But still very good!

I was in a Death Metal band back inthe 90's that played a show with Dirty Looks. They had some fun groupies that they brought on the road with them, what a crazy time. :yesnod:

Kim has always been one of my favorite guys in rock :yesnod: I have all of his solo cds after Max Webster. There are a lot of Canadian bands I really like. BTO, Loverboy, Kick Axe, Kim Mitchell, Trooper and more.

I don't know if someone mentioned them or not, but what the hell happened to Guns & Roses. That new album Chinese Democracy has been due out for years now.

Not sure, the new GNR has been touring in the last little while. Axl can still actually sing pretty good still IMO. The album, HELL...IT'LL NEVER COME OUT!!! Velvet Revolver is way better than the NEW GNR, the OLD GNR IS MY FAVORITE BAND. :yesnod:

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

TruckDriver

I have some songs by Chilliwack too. Gone Gone Gone, Fly At Night. Can't remeber the other one right now.

No April Wine on that list?  :shruggy:
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

TruckDriver

I love April Wine. I have a lot of their cds too. I always liked Jim Clench. Plus Jim was in BTO for 2 albums ('78/'79) which totally are my favorites. April Wine was huge when I was in high school. I prefer their harder sounding stuff from the last 15 years or so when Jim re-joined the band. "Falling Down" from Back To The Mansion from 2001 is my all time favorite April Wine song.

Jim Clench left the band again early last year which sucks. "Attiude" from 1992 is their best album ever I think.

One of my all time favorite bands, is a band from Hamburg Germany called Victory They got started in the the 80s, but never made it big here in the US. They're now on their third lead singer, but they still rock. Charlie Huhn, their original lead singer is now the lead singer for Fog Hat.

Old Moparz

Digging up old threads is better than reading about some controversial Mopar guru.

I hated just about everything recorded in the 80's, & MTV only made it even worse. (Yes, there are a few exceptions.)

Stevie Ray was just about the only new blood back then that I'd listen to. I used the 80's to find all kinds of blues & jazz hoping rock would make a come back.   :D
