Who says good deals still aren't out there, Here is my new toy I bought yesterday, its a 72 Charger, really solid the only rust is on the lower right of the deck lid, these are the most solid quarters I have ever seen zero rust. It has a 318\2BBL, automatic, hideaway headlights, ralley guages, dual chrome sport mirrors, factory power disc brakes and AC (non-working right now) They guy I bought it from has only had it a couple of months, but said the lady he got it from bought it new. The interior is pretty much trashed but all there. The 318 runs but needs some tuning up, I drove it 25 miles home. I plan on using it as a driver. I needed a running mopar while working on the 69. Here are some pics

Wow, that's what It cost to fill my work truck up with gas.  Love the hideaways.   Super deal.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

NICE score!  :2thumbs:

Is that a S.E.? or a Topper with the vinyl top removed? I can't tell by the picture angles.

sweet deal!!, I gave $500 for a 74 that didn't run for parts.  $850 for a running charger.  You could thow a $399 Maaco job on her drive it until the 69 was done,  sell it for a few grand, or if your like me you will grow attached to it and just have a extra charger :icon_smile_big:

Thanks!!! As far as a vinyl top, it had one of those half tops, someone done removed it, but the trim was inside the car in nice condition.

What is a "Sales Bank" car, that was one of the codes on the fender tag.

nice score.  I believe a Sales Bank car is a car that is ordered by a dealer for stock.

It's funny, I used to turn my nose up on any 318, 360 or smog motor.  Now I have a def. appreciation for these coupes and other "standard" models.  A 318 will go forever!
Do I have the last, operational Popcar Spacemobile?

great job! a sales bank car just meansit was built with out a customer or dealer order-pretty common practice with chrysler then and now, keeps the production lines moving, and they sell them to the dealers eventually!
