would the proven engine combo's be better served as a sub child of the performance corner?

Troy

Hmmm, good point. Ideally, the Performance Corner covers a the gamut of upgrades (including suspension) but the Engine, Trans, etc. section just covers the power train. We tried a Performance Engine section once and it was mostly dead so we rolled up all the Performance stuff into one place. In the end, I was trying to figure out where it would be seen the most. Would it make sense to put it at the same level as the others? Life was simpler with the old software because there was no such thing as a subsection. :)

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Hmm, good question.  I had forgotten about a performance engine section.  Maybe it's the performance section that should be rolled into proven combos section?  Then again, there are a lot of drag results, and trans, suspension, and pre race questions that get asked in there so I guess it really does stand on it's own.
Maybe I shouldn't have asked at all and it is best just as you've set it up.

I just realized there was a board called "Proven Engine Combos" there :smilielol: :smilielol:

It's actually difficult to differentiate sometimes. For instance, where does a person ask about a mini starter or an A-body brake swap? Neither are truly "performance" oriented but they obviously aren't correct for a factory restored car. So many people swap intakes, exhaust, tires, batteries, rear gears and Sure-Grip units, and other parts just to make a daily driver that there's not a real defining line until you get to race parts/cars. Tough to organize for sure!
