In my early years, it would have to be when my Dad left us. He just packed his things and left. Never said a word. I've never laid eyes on him again. :'(

In later years, Things like the Challenger & 9-11 make us all take a moment to look around us and be thankful for what we have in family, friends and loved ones.

When I woke up 1 morning last March, went down in the basement to get some pellets for the stove and noticed some water. I looked across to the other side of the cellar and this is what I saw. $24k and no insurance coverage later and 2 new basement walls and a slight alcohol problem later I am good to go.

I was 8 and attending the University of Georgia. I  realized that the 19 year old blond girl  in the tight sweater and mini skirt,  only loved me for my mind.
Funny, I still get the same reaction from the 19 year old blond girls of today.

I spent my first 10 years in a city neighborhood.  Rough schools, poor kids from broken homes, etc.  I got beaten up for money & stuff sometimes just like the other white kids did, but there was never anything too personal or vicious about it.

Then I moved out to the whiter/wealtheir suburbs when I was 10.  Suddenly everyone around me had money, the kids got anything they wanted all the time just by asking for it, they all had two parents and went to church, etc.

Turns out it was the WEALTHY kids who were worse.  They were the ones who did thousands of dollars worth of theft & property damage to our house, ganged up & beat younger kids for no reason at all, and generally had no conscience.  And their parents didn't bother to do anything about it when you showed them proof of it, either.  The rich kids were WAY, WAY worse than the city kids had ever been to me.

Oops.
Is your garage on the other side of that wall?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yes it is thank God. It wasnt like it gave any warning either like you think. A week before it happened the wall and basement were bone dry as always and wasnt even bowed in. It gave out starting from the bottom up. Halfway through the contractor that was doing the job took my money and went on a coke binge and never returtned. That was my fault for paying him before completion. I went round and round with the insurance company with no luck.
