There was a lot of faces I didn't recognize in the video, and I can think of at least 10 off the top of my head that are NOT on the video. Only black guy I knew was Jimmy Hendricks. I recognized one of the white guys with the beard, but can't place his name. :shruggy:

I didn't know there were any Quiet Riot albums put out past, like, 1990 and that article says they released one in '06. :o They never really did anything worth hearing after the first album. Seems like they lost their voice after the first two songs on the first album and it got worse thereafter. "Cum On Feel the Noize" was a cover song by Slade and they did another Slade song "Mama Were All Crazee Now" which were more popular than most of their original stuff. I'm sure they some other Slade songs but I lost interest in them after the second album. They had all the ingredients for a memorable band but somehow the effort just didn't come together IMO.

Seems hard to believe that somebody like that was already 52 years old.  Time flies.

Bands like QR absolutely defined youth & recklessness to me.
It's just hard to get my mind around how much time has already gone by since their heyday.

Speaking ill of the dead...anyone remember when he got caught  on stage drinking tea from a JD bottle?

(I'm sorry he's dead, yes I liked his music, yes Kevin was a dink who became famous for two things...playing in a band with RR and making money off of Slade songs)

I watched one of those "top 100 80' metal songs" shows on VH1 a little while back. They credited Quiet Riot with starting Hair Metal. The song that started it all was "Cum on Feel the Noise." In an interview Kevin said that he did not want to do that song. It was a exec/producer something that had them record and release that song.

Police: QUIET RIOT's KEVIN DUBROW Died Six Days Before Being Discovered - Nov. 28, 2007

ABC's Las Vegas affiliate KTNV-TV reports: Police say after a distressed call from family members, QUIET RIOT lead singer Kevin DuBrow's next door neighbor and friend kicked down the door to find the 52-year-old dead.

Police say DuBrow had been dead for about six days before his body was discovered.

Lori Lee Samson, DuBrow's fiancée, was the last person to see him alive.

She says when days passed, she new something was wrong.

Among the collection of memories, Lori Samson will forever save DuBrow's last words.

"At 2:40 am Monday he texted me I love you so much," Samson says.

His death has sent shockwaves to fans and family.

Samson says she will cherish the last moments spent with him and her son.

She never knew the man she met years ago was a legendary rock star.

Still rocking into his 50s, they celebrated DuBrow's birthday just two weeks ago.

Samson says DuBrow performed for charities, growing more humble with age.

At 52 years old, QUIET RIOT's vocalist finally found the one.

The couple was supposed to appear on A&E for a roast of Gene Simmons.

The coroner's office is now investigating the exact cause of death.

Samson says something fans never knew is that alcohol was not allowed backstage at their concerts.

This was in support of band members' struggle with sobriety.
