318 crank ID?

How do I tell if I have a cast or forged crank in my 318? It has a build date of august 1967.
Are there numbers on the crank? My damper looks unbalanced but everything I read says 67-68 cranks are cast.

318's never used external balance even if they had cast cranks. Here is some 318 crank info I have, some other sources disagree on the forged/cast changeover year:


62-67 318 and 64-67 273 forged 2128278, 2128869, 2205700

are those numbers on the crank somewhere so I can confirm what it is?

A cast crank will have a thin parting line from the 2 piece mold that it was cast from.  The crank on the left is cast.
