I guess you've already checked his IP address and stuff of that nature.   Aren't you a bit suspect when people inquire about hlpag?  Haven't they done things like this before (the troll thing)?
Yes but, more often than not, people inquiring about HLPAG have already bought a car and are then doing research because they feel they've been screwed. Of course they are called trolls and run off the site before they even get a chance to explain. Once in a while a more savvy buyer will research first yet they get the same response. In reality, I can only remember of two(2) times that HLPAG has successfully managed to get on the site and toot their own horn. Both were on the old site before I got better at identifying them and neither lasted very long. Perhaps I'm wrong but I'd rather be wrong once and gather more ammunition against these guys than lose 10 new members because others jumped the gun and were wrong.

You don't need neat investigative tools or administrator privileges to gather information though. Look at previous posts and use Google for profile information. All it takes is a tiny bit of time and effort before posting.

OK Streetmaster, under Troy's Sage advice I'll calm down a bit...a belated welcome to the site.

Unfortunately I don't know of any sources for cars, it's really right place at the right time. I understand for you that might be difficult being from Europe but I'm sure you understand the saying "you get what you pay for." If you have purchase 3 cars from HLPAG and are somewhat happy then you have beat the odds...BIG TIME. If you have time I would search ebay, this board, moparts and other mopar boards. It might well be worth a holiday in the U.S. to get your car then spin that roulette wheel with HLPAG one more time. The good news is prices of cars have dropped somewhat in the past year and with the euro gaining strengh this is a great time to buy.

As far as HLPAG goes and the emotional reaction you question elicited, the fact is those guys deal in '68-70 chargers, and we see a LOT of people coming here after their purchase for help. They are in the business to make money and based on what I've seen that is all they care about. In my opinion if you got a good car from them it is by LUCK rather than workmanship or their ethics.

This site has an interesting relationship with HLPAG - most members don't like them because they see all the people who have been ripped off 1st hand. HLPAG doesn't like this site because we cost them $$$ and steer people away.  I expect they pop on here once in a while to see if their reputation has changed  :smilielol: or more likely to capture remarks they can use in a slander/liable suit to close down this site (that's why I always say "in my opinion"  ;D)

OK enough of me, here's a FEW...A FEW threads from others, read the 1st and you'll see why you're so lucky

Hey guys, it looks like Troy is right..... Streetmaster is from Switzerland - not a HLPAG poser.

I have to agree with Troy though. ASSUMING things about people is why this site looses long time and new members.  :rotz:

I'm with ya' WI but speaking for myself I can only work of the information given and what was given sounded like someone baiting the board members for negative comments on HLPAG.

However now that the identity is clear I did apologize for my perceived rudeness

Well, I'd say you survived a couple rounds of russian roulette with hlpag, so count yourself lucky.  I've even found a car for you.

The auction is over, it didn't sell, it's more than you want to pay (50k), but it's a seriously nice car.  The guy won it in a radio station raffle so maybe he'll entertain offers.  It's in Detroit, Michigan where it's currently gray and cold outside, prices are soft anyway, and nobody's thinking much about buying until spring time.

Ok, so maybe I did have to break out my A.C.M.E. Super Duper Global Internet Tracking Device with Ultra Sensitive Router Bouncing and Black Hole Detection Upgrade - and Cappuccino Machine. Bah, never mind. I just used my magic button like I do every time my boss sets a completely unreasonable deadline. :P

So, does anyone know where to find a triple black big block 68 Charger? It has to be the most popular combo available since about half of all the ones I see are just like that.

Hi Streetmaster, I found this website you may be interested in.  They've got Chargers for sale and project cars they are working on.  I don't know about shipping overseas though.

69charger2002

texastoybox is HIGH priced.. they had some of their cars at the houston tx show. decent cars. but some were in the $30's and needed some work   ::)
best bet is an individual, a dealer jacks up the price $10k over "sticker".. the purple 70 you bought from hlpag, any chance you got pics or info on that? i sold them one a couple years ago wondering if this is the same car a little "body work" later
