My Dodge dealer  says that the 2008 Dodge Charger will be available in blue as a Super Bee version. Does anyone have any info or maybe a  Picture?   :eyes:

Troy

Yep, they're already out I believe. It's similar to B5 (bright blue). One place to see it is on Dodge's site:

I'm hoping that someday "The New Dodge" will run out of classic names to denigrate and actually start building cars that look like they did back then.

"Just as the origional Charger Super Bee made it's bold presence known in the 60's, the new Charger SRT8 brings performance kicking and screaming into the 21st century.........."

Wow, you would think that Dodge would be able to remember what decade the origional Charger Superbee was made in.

Ghoste

There's a good chance the marketing team responsible weren't even born in the 70's.  All that matters is that the general public makes the connection and gets excited.  :P

Really? Seems to me they've either forgotten or never knew much about the past successes at all by the looks of things. They must have found all the vintage names written down somewhere though because they're pulling them out of their backside left and right these days.

mally69

the charger and the super bee they look i dentica,  is there a differnce :shruggy:

Ghoste

Just the stripe on the side and a few cleverly placed Bee emblems as far as I know.

Chris G.

Aside from the usual opinions of the design and how Chrysler markets their cars to actually make money, I still think the color is awesome. I wouldn't mind owning one in that color. I can't wait to see one on the street.  :yesnod:

mally69

yea that stripe was the only thing that i noticed     I wasnt sure if there was a difference in engine's or interior.. Dont kill me for this  but if only dodge would do like what ford did to the mustang and make the cars look more like the old ones..   I would really like to see that new challenger but who knows what will happen..   Hind site is a wonderfull thing  :eyes:

Ghoste

The engine is the same.  I think the Super Bee can only be ordered on the SRT but I'm not positive.  There may be a few interior differences but they are subtle.  A Bee in the dash for example.  Is the exterior color a Bee exclusive?  I think it is but I'm not 100%.  Not unlike the modern Daytona but with each having it's own color exclusives?

Marine Blue Pearl was available for the 2007 models. It codes as a B6 Blue.

I don't know if it's the same as what is on the SuperBee concept, but it looks pretty close.

BTW, those pics of the SuperBee is what drove me to change the order of my 07 from black to:

dodgecharger-fan

Ah! I see they're calling it Surf Blue Pearl and it does look a bit different - maybe more of a B5-ish??

Edit: I just saw tha the Build-Your-Own module on the Dodge site calls it B5 Blue Pearl Coat.....

BrianShaughnessy

That blue does nothing for me compared to the other colors available.    The SRT8 is just badass in black.   :2thumbs:
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

Troy

Super Bees are SRT8s. When the color was announced I believe they were calling it B5. However, it probably has a more modern touch.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Ghoste

Are Daytonas RT's only or is that stripe available on any model?

Troy

A Daytona is mainly a stripe package on an R/T.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Ghoste

Soooo, tell me if I have this right.  The Daytona is a stripe package for the RT, the Super Bee is a stripe package for the SRT and each one has color exclusives available only with that model and stripe?
