During the Grand Spaulding Dodge years, were only R/T cars modified? For instance, I f I bought an non-R/Tcar like a 69 Charger 383 4bbl could I have that souped up? Just wondering. :shruggy:

As long as you had the $$$$$ Mr. Norms would do the work. They didn't limit R/Ts only.....It's just they sold a lot of performance cars. People don't realize it but he did a TON of business with the city of Chicago selling police cars. The Blues Brothers wrecked a lot of GSD police cars in the movie.

For that matter, they didn't even limit it to Mopars.  If you bought a used supercar it got the treatment.  If you brought your Mustang, GTO whatever in for a performance tune, you got it.

what did they exactly do to the cars...?

2005 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster Custom - Maggie
2012 370Z NISMO - Courtney
1979 Corvette L-82 - Lilly
1969 Dodge Charger R/T Clone - Vanessa

Whatever you wanted really.  Every supercar they sold was performance tuned on the dyno.  Distributor recurved, carb jetted for max performance, all of those things.  But they would also install headers or deeper ring gears, aftermarket intakes, whatever you were willing to pay for.

Anything you wanted if you had the money... Did you see that article in Mopar Muscle a few months back, there was a 70 Plymouth station wagon a guy bought , then took it back to Mr. Norms and had a 440 6/BBL and a 833 4-speed installed in it. He restored it recently and added GTX Grill, emblems, stripe, etc.
