Would someone have a picture showing the correct wiring and placement for the hood signal wiring and the clips for the wiring which connects at the junction block.

I think the blinker assembly wire runs inside the hood frame until it connects with the dual plug relay harness.  :shruggy:

Trying re-wire mine and get it right.

Thanks

You are correct.  The hood directional wires run down inside the frame of the hood down to the rear firewall area and then come out and connect into the intermediate wire that has the T shaped plug by the junction box.  Im at work right now so I can not post a pic yet but I am sure someone from here has one they can post.

Thanks Res, mine were outside and I've run them inside the frame. I just need to see where the clips go for the "Y" primary wire. Any pics from someone would be a big help. Thanks

They don't run inside of the hood if the car came with the hood pad. If it came with the hood pad, they were ran outside, and then the hood pad held them in place.

:scratchchin:  interesting, I did not know that. Its been so many years since I took off a stock
original hood pad, I did not notice that, or I just plain forgot ever seeing that   :shruggy:

My 69 had the partially scotched remains of its stock hood pad when I bought it. The turn signal wires were run through the frame.

Just figured I'd post what I was talking about. I'm pretty sure though that they were supposed to go through the hood if the car didn't have a hood pad from the factory, and if it did have a hood pad from the factory that it wouldn't run through the hood.

My car does not have the pad, but the wires were running outside the hood as if It did.

I replaced one of my broken hood signals and saw that the primary wire was also fried and replaced that one as well. So I figured now would be the time to wire it correctly. I also replaced my broken antenna and the old mast was the perfect tool to use to push the wires through the hood frame.

That diagram is what I needed,

Thanks.

No problem. For once I actually had something helpful for this section.
