Well, I recently found a lump on my dogs chest last week.
Took him into the vet today and they got a sample from it and there running some blood test.
I should know by the end of this week if it's operable.
Please, I need all your prayers in hoping the best. He's my best friend and I'd hate to have to loose him.
Keep him in all your best thought for me guys...ok.

Thanks

He's a cocker spaniel. Just turned 10 years old last september. Thats 70 in doggie years but I'd like to see him make it though more if possible.  :smilie_help: :oye:

I hope it's just a plugged up pore or something. My Mom's mini-collie gets big bumps on her back fairly frequently. The vet just opens & drains them, then gives some meds to prevent infection. I think she does this routine about once a year.
I forget the term the vet gave for this condition.

Good luck, Man.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I hope your dog is OK. I can imagine how upset you would be. Having a pet for so long makes them just like a family member. I would be very sad if something happened to my little buddy. Believe it or not his name is Hemi.

Kelly, the last lab we lost 8mo ago, had about 12 good sized lumps on him for about 3-4 years.
All it was, was loose lumps and were tested a couple times and nothing to worry about, he was 13.

Is this lump hard, and not free to move around a little on his body? or is it firmly attached?
If it is loose its less of a worry, if it is not moveable, than it could be more serious, we lost a lab 3yrs
ago with a hard lump, its always hard to loose a pet as we all know.

Same here. Our goofball mutt has a couple of lumps but the vet checked her out and said it's just fatty tissue. She's almost 10.

My dog is 10, and he had alot of lumps on his back and neck.  Just fatty tissue.  We had them all removed, and he's still running around like he's only 2 years old.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Good news.
The vet just called and told us that it is just a fatty deposit. So I guess all your combined good thoughts and wishes must have helped my little friend.
Thanks all
Looks like my best friends gonna be ok.  :2thumbs:

That's good news Kelly. I had the same thing on my 10 year old Schnauzer over the summer. I caught it when it was small. The vet did a test right on the spot. He took the sample and put it under a microscope. It went away since the vet poked it to get the sample??

Congrats on your pups good news!! :2thumbs: ...just courious, ....did the vet say to change your doggies diet? Older pets tend to need a change in food sometimes. Just a thought! :Twocents:  I had to do that with my old dog along time ago, and now again with my 10-11 year old cat! :brickwall: Damn thing is expensive, but I love him! :yesnod:

Yep them older dogs need to watch their diet. I put mine on science diet light about 5 years ago. It is pretty much the most expensive and best food out there. He is all muscle and hasn't lost a step. My daughter in law works at Hill's pet foods so my food is reeeaaaal cheap :icon_smile_big:

Good news.
The vet just called and told us that it is just a fatty deposit.
So it's another case of the pet looking like the owner, eh? :icon_smile_tongue:

J/K, glad it turned out well.
