mustanghater

you should ask him why the motor don't run. it can cost you alot of money to get it to drive, motor, trans, fuel system. it looks like them tank might be missing, brakes and who knows what else. could be alot of money just to get it to drive. if it was   an easy fix   they would have done it them selfs.   Rene

Well then, getting it going would be a useful way to spend your time.  Not to mention enjoying an educational, life affirming experience.

BigBlockSam

i asked him these questions

hi
why does the motor not run? whats the problem? does it have brakes? i see it is missing the gas cap and ring. is there a problem with the gas tank and lines? thanks

here's his answer

i purchased the car the way it is,except for some body work. as stated in the ad. If I were to get it running in first class condition and painted it would sell for 25,000. thanks

even if you trailer it home you have to roll it . so you'll know if the brakes work. i think he's hiding something.  if you win the bid don't send any money. go there with money in hand and look at the car. Rene

I love it when guys use lines like "if I got it running and painted it it would be worth X".  Yep, you're right and if I pay you what it's worth right now and find a million dolllars in the trunk, then it'll be worth a million plus 500 dollars.

Listen MH, unless you have a decent job and a LOT of time on your hands, I recommend not to get a Charger for your first car. A month after you get in you will get sick of paying $50+ a week in gas. And trust me you will. I'm glad the charger isnt my daily driver because it gets 8 mpg. And in the first post you said you were looking to mod it? Haha, good luck with that money. If you want to mod your first car, get a Neon for 2000, mod it, get 25+ mpg and then get a 6000 dollar charger for fun.

I was gonna say get a 5.0 mustang but that's an obvious one.. For your first car do you absolutely have to get an old V8 car? A late 80's-Early 90's Camaro or Trans Am would be a nice one, but insurance would be a lot. I also wouldn't reccomend an old mopar for a daily car because your in Ohio... need I say Rust/Snow/Salt? That brings me back to the FWD car for a daily beater/winter car.

Fix the Charger up in the winter.

That looks like daylight coming through the floor there. I don't think you'd be able to shine it up and run it until you get time to paint it. At least I don't think it would pass a safety check for plates.

mustanghater

on ebay it comes with new floor pans that need installed
