I was wondering if any of you have seen any Mopar muscle cars done in "Rat Rod" style.  Meaning flat black paint etc.  I guess the "Blade" charger is sort of Rat Rod-ish but I was wondering about others models.  Post pics if you got them.

thanks,
Jason

In the search window above, type in "rat rod", complete with the quotations, that part is important,.. doing so will give two pages of subjects Re: Rat Rods... and a full afternoon of reading and ideas..

and again, welcome to the club!

Thanks for the info.  I checked it out but there isn't much other than Chargers too look at.  I am curious how other 60's- 70's Mopars would look in the Rat Rod style.  I have a 1972 Plymouth Satellite that I am beginning to restore and I am thinking of going "Rat Rod" styling.  No chopped tops but definitely flat black.  I have never seen one done like that.

That's a cool car!!  I've had 5 or 6 chargers over the years and I always wanted to do one like that.  Thanks for the links.  That last one had some great ideas in them.

It is not a Rat Rod yet, but it will be. Flat black paint with nice shiny Torque Thrust IIs and no bumpers.

Somehow, the 66 to 74 era B-boy Mopars just don't seem like very good rat rod choices to me.  E-bodies either for that matter.  Maybe some of the early 60's and the A-bodies?

How about an old Charger that's wearing some '70s mag wheels, loud paintwork, rollbars, a nerf-bar on the front, and a CB antenna?

  ;)

This was a member's car...

My charger will be primered THEN flat black, just til I get the other parts done that I am working on before its time for paint...but shhh its a secret

i forget who's but Troy's subbmission reminds me oth that other member's Plymouth, '68 road runner in primer, w. torque thrusts and totally bitchen!  :drool5:

Haha dude I have that picture and absolutely love the stance! Many don't like the ass end way up there. Still, I can't put my poor shock crossmember through that with air shocks, so when I can afford it I'll get some springs with a more aggressive curve, maybe like 3 or 4" more lift. Someone ordered springs like that on here. . . from Eaton maybe?

TO, you read my mind..  That is what I'm gonna do to my Charger when I get to the Daytona phase.
