I lived in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for six years and passed by a '69 sitting in a parking lot every day. In the back of my mind I always dreamed of finding the owner and giving him like $1000 for it. Well, I stumbled upon a listing for that very car today on Craigslist. It's a 318 auto with a black vinyl top. The guy wants $9500!!!!! So much for my dream.

Unfortunately not. I know it is bronze, but it was behind a oicked fence, so I could never get a really close look at it. Here's the detail from the add:

For sale, a 1969 Dodge Charger, automatic, original 318 engine. Has not been started in over 5 years. Body and interior in good condition. Excellent restoration project. Color is light bronze with black vinyl roof

This one is in a lot on McGuinness Blvd. In Greenpoint. It's partially covered. I only noticed it after the wind blew the cover off the back. Once I saw the tail lights, the staking of the car began!  ;)
