The wild thing about it is the seller states it's been stashed in the attic for years, etc. So it's not like it was sent out to any of the people restoring gauges like Redline, etc. to do it, and it's not just a sticker. And obviously the seller doesn't know it's anything "special" as he doesn't say a thing about it, so he probably didn't have it done. Very interesting.

Not necessarily.....some small machine screws & nuts fix that no problem...

Definitely a paint job though...look at the rust pits on the speedo face...& notice all the other small gauges have the usual yellowing

ive only seen it once while surfing for background images for my myspace page a while back, i just thought it was done by photoshop, must have been an extremely rare option or something.

It's obviously a 68 cluster, maybe something that was on very early cars.... First time I've ever seen that.

I've seen a lot of '67-built '68s though and never seen one of those in them. :shruggy:

ive seen that on some of the earlier offered gauge reface decal back around 97-98 , they offered the to say charger super bee and r/t if i remember correctly. so i would say its one of those. :Twocents:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .

I highly doubt that it was production, look how white the numbers on the guage are compared to the mileage counter. Probably been refaced, but it sure does look good.
