Hemi choke tube assembly component

Hey gang..
Was wondering what the long 5" tube is supposed to go to... The long tube with the "J" in it goes to the air cleaner base (with a rubber hose connecting it and the tube).. Then the other tube is for the carb choke thermostat... Soooooooo, I can't figure where the independent straight tube goes to...... Is it cut and used to fit between something and something?.........

that looks like the tube that goes through the exhaust manifold. (your manifold probably has one in it already)

You mean the nipple on the top? If so, then that makes sense....  I see the contours of the tube..  Thanks..............
