hi everyone at the stage of ordering up my exhaust was looking into getting the pypes x pipe system with either the street pro or violator mufflers anyone ever used them? is so pro,s and cons please

I put the Pypes X system on my 69.  It was a nice fit overall, but just a warning, you will have to have to pipes made to go from the headers to the X pipe head pipes to clear the crossmember depending on where your headers dump out at.  I have Hooker Comp headers on my car so it was a bit of a challenge to get it fit properly up front by the crossmember.  They DO NOT have Violater mufflers in the Mopar configuration.  I went with the Race Flo mufflers.  My opinion on those mufflers...they are OK, but not what I was expecting them to sound like.  The tailpipes and actual X pipe fit nice, way better than the Flowmaster system I put on my Chevelle.  Overall, I give it a thumbsup, I would just like to have a better sounding muffler.  If you want, I'll go get some pics and a quick video of how it sounds for you.  Just let me know.

I'll go out and get some pics tonight, and get a video//sound clip on Saturday when I can get the car outside.  As far as the mufflers, I guess it's up to how you think they sound or should sound.  I was expecting a little different of a sound than they have, that's all.  They don't sound like a Mopar should.

Either Dynomax, or Magnaflow are the ones I'd check out. These muff's that I have, I'm gonna probably end up selling, and get an oval case muffler for better ground clearance than a round case. :icon_smile_cool:

I went to video a quick sound byte today, but now I can't find the power cord for the video camera.  I'm going to look around for it and see if I can do it tomorrow provided it's not raining like the weather forecast says.
