I thought I would share this really cool experience I had a few weeks ago.

A friend of mine, that I graduated high school with a couple of years ago, got married a few weeks ago. Well her cousin is Tyson Ritter, the leader singer for The All American Rejects. The band played at the wedding and he even wrote a special song for her that is going to be on their next CD. I got to hang out with the band and they are the most awesome people ever. I took a few pictures of the band, but the lighting kind of screwed up most of them. This was the best one.

Cool. Is that the high school in the background?

That is actually the library at Oklahoma State University. There is a big flower garden type thing on the south side of the library and they had the ceremony in there. It was pretty cool.

Saw them before they got big playing with Motion City Soundtrack at Vino's in Little Rock a long time ago. . . cost like $6 and got to meet all the guys. Pretty cool but not anything special.

Wow that's pretty big for a library. I asked because it reminds me of where I work.

Wow, there are no high schools around here that look like that.

It is pretty big. I think it is one of the top 5 largest campus libraries in the country. I've spent many many hours studying in there. I know it like the back of my hand.

I can remember when they were doing small shows and things around here. I lived in a town about 20 miles from Stillwater (where the band is from) and they were always doing local stuff. I never got a chance to see them until now.

Haha word up dude! That place is great man. Not really into the music scene anymore. Was Anthro Pop still down the street back then? Record shop. . .

Seems there was a shop close, not 100% sure...   spent major $$ at Discount Records on University over the years.  Lived in LR for about 6 years, mostly around UALR.

Kinda slipped out of the music scene in the mid 90's, worked too much.  Caught some really cool bands at Vinos and Juanita's though...

Now, I want a calzone... :drool5:       was in LR July and didn't have time to get there...

Yeah dude I got so many awesome records from the used stores and stuff. Great stuff. I should sell a lot of them. Got some wild rare stuff.

I hear you dude, Juanita's is awesome too. I want a pep pizza from Vinos more than a calzone though!

How 'bout Pizza D'action on Markham??  That was a cool place to hang and down pitchers... on top of the hamburger pizzas   :drool5:  damn, hungry now...

Later man, early work morning coming up...  and I still haven't found a pizza joint in Seattle that I like as much as Rocky's or Rods in Hot Springs!!  Gonna need to do a "pizza tour" next time I'm down...
