Just for grins folks, where are you on your various automobile projects?  :D

i have gotten enuff parts to strat a minor upgrade on the Charger,.. Travis 2002 and Kab 67686970 came through with several parts I needed and i got new hood mounted turn signals from Yr One, I'm gonna make my own custom trunk matt up and add a stereo this winter, fortunately here in the bay area though it rains, my cars are not confined to a long term garage hibernation so i will be able to exercise the beast abit..

no big ticket items this yr. as I need to be somewhat Conservative with the lettuce..

The road runner is in the garage across the street now so it wont be sitting in the elements, when i get back to work in a few mos. I'll be able to turn my attention to it...

the 300 M needs nothing but a good clay bar and waxing at this point.

...and the R/V is good to go!

Mine is wrapped up and in storeage til about the middle of Febuary when my friend (who offered me to do a free engine rebuild long as I buy the parts) will get started on it. I'll start updating things once the engine is out. By April or so, I should have a running and driving Charger :2thumbs:

Starting a rotisserie resto on my '69 in Jan '08, drivin the '71 year round here in South Fla. since it's basically done except for the usual stuff we all always do. A touch up here and upgrade there.. :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:

I have the car down to a rolling shell. All of the parts have been boxed and labelled in the attic and now I am waiting to be able to strip off the Plum Crazy Purple crap someone decided to put on a Triple Black 68 Charger RT. I started stripping the paint to find the Black underneath! Why would anyone do such a thing? Anyway, the roller is in the garage waiting to be stripped, primed blocked and painted.

Brock Samson

well i think somefolks (me) just get tired of the black which is not only really difficult to maintain but very hot in summer,.. add to that a whole bunch of chargers are painted that color when you go to shows... Mine was Black for a good long time and after awhile i was really wanting to paint it a Dark Blue, just because it's my Fav. color general lee and I hadn't ever seen one painted like that before,.. so when some stupid chick in a miata crushed my front clip...  :flame: I decided to mix up my own custom color and go for it...

STILL doing bodywork  :brickwall: I figure instead of having it at a body shop for months on end I would do most myself. Hopefully I will be painting the underside, engine compartment, trunk, cabin myself then install all the suspension (spring goal) then send it out for paint while I rob a bank or two to finish it up. :D

Still at the same spot it's been for the last year and a half - with the "new" engine sitting on the stand, waiting for me to put the time and dedication into it to get it going. And maybe having an idea of what the hell I'm supposed to be doing would help.

Sitting and rusting away, but one day I'll fix it.   :icon_smile_dissapprove:  Just kidding!!!  :D  My brother is doing the "major" body work, but man this damn car sure is a money pit.   :eek2:

Same place its been since I started college; sitting in the machine shed on my parents' farm along with the 4 other dead cars. My buddy even made a sign saying "Abandon ye all hope who enter here" since the cars go in but never leave. I've got the automotive version of "Hotel California"...

Unhook everything, pull the old engine out, put the new one in & hook everything back up.
How's that? :D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

terrible one

Just bought an engine for mine, trying to finish up the Rustoleum paint job before it gets too cold. . .

As she sits:

Well, right now the charger is on standby while we get everything settled - we closed on a new house today, and it'll be a bit before I have money to move much....

Current status is:
-Body is "nearly done" at the body shop (strip to bare metal, remove all bondo, correct the metal the "right" way, repaint - plus some fiberglass work on kickpanel speaker pods and trunk stereo stuff while it's there.  Supposed to be done mid-december last word.
-Engine block is assembled to short block.  No cam yet, no heads. - 505 stroker from 440source, will probably use his heads too, since they should be released about the time I get there.
-Rear end is done, just needs to be put in - converted truck dana 60, new rebuild power-lok, scarebird discs

Still to do:
-Still lots of parts to get to finish up the engine
-Plan on gettng an alterktion before the engine goes in (install them together)
-want to add overdrive
-probably want to add stiffening

Funny thing is this whole phase started out with a blown head gasket - I just kept thinking, "while I'm doing item a, I probably want to do b.... Oh, and while I'm doing b, ...........  Until I got here :P

Haha you're quite right! I think it would be more suitable to use as the roof of my house!

After finding some dodgy (no pun intended) bodywork, I'm goin back to square one:
blast it all back down to bare metal, then assess things from there.  :flame:

Mine is sitting with a buddy of mine in Reading PA, waiting for a bunch of parts that will be shipped with it.
Right now it is a half deasent driver, but after coming summer here in Norway, driving around with it as it is now, it will be strippped down completly, for a restomod in to a pro-touring car.
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

Sitting all torn apart w/ parts all over the house. Seats and grille are in my room, all the other parts are in the rec room except the hood and headlight support are in the garage.

I got my hood scoop on and the hood mounted.
That was the last body piece I had left to do.
My painter is supposed to paint in december, then I can finish what little interrior I have left.
Other then that, She's ready to hit the road for the first time in 15 years.

Got a ways to go yet...

71ChallengeHer

Hopefully the 2nd week of Dec I'm taking the Chally over to a friend's garage. Gonna rebuild the front end, send the PS box out to have it rebuilt, go over the brakes. Then when that's done it's going to the Bodyshop to have the door hinges rebuilt, body lined up, factory hood pins put back on, and a T/A spolier. :2thumbs: Then we are gonna have Shelby's Daytona hood and spoiler painted flat black. :brickwall:  And the strobe stripe put on before Carlisle.

My Dayton clone is still sitting on the rotisserie starting its 2nd year there. Have all of the parts and just need to do it. I chopped the top on the 53 stude champion coupe and started building the 392 hemi just as my business got hot and I had no time. or enjoyment. Took in deposits, finished up projects and now have engines waiting for pick up that customers now can't finish  paying for. Now I am waiting for my money to work with.  Plus I am moving my shop a hundred miles and have stuff in 2 locations and If I need something. It's at the other shop. I would hire a good worker to work on my cars. Hope to be back on track soon.
