The youtube thread got me to thinking.  How many KISS Army Fan club members or former members here?  I was a member for quite a few years in my youth, which was along time ago in a galaxy far far away it seems... :musik010:

Heck yea. . . KISS has been my favorite band since I was 14 years old. They may not have always had the best music, but their live show compares to no other band out there, unless Ace was falling down drunk that night.   :yesnod:

KISS, are you crazy. IMO I think they were a bunch of freaks with Holloween paint on.  When I was a Kid it was: Boston, Eagles,Steve Miller, Little River Band and yes John Denver, Willie Waylon and the Boys.

 :iagree: :iagree:
Those bands are sooo gay, you can't even compare them to Kiss. John Denver, "Rocky Mountain High, I am a Butt Pirate" sing along fellas. :smilielol: :smilielol:
Kiss sing about the God of Thunder and women and wine and Rock n' Roll.
Come on, the guy from Boston kills himself with a gas grill.  :scratchchin:
To each his own but I think you jut might stir up some poop with calling Kiss a bunch of pole smokers on a post regarding the Kiss Army. :Twocents: :stirthepot: :stirthepot:

Ace and Peter are done.

Gene and Paul kicked them out. Their cut was too high....

69bronzeT5

Well know Ace is out...hes been out for a while. Tommy Thayer replaced him and is still in the band. Peter played with them during the show with the Melbourne Orchrastra a few years back (2003?). He also played with them last year at the VH1 Rock Honors. So he could possibly be the drummer for the rumoured tour?

5th grade,1977, we were known as the rockers. KISS was it. If you didn't have the Love Gun album, you weren't hanging around w/us. Never joined the Army though. And what the hell is up w/John Denver? Gees, can you say, Rocky Mountain = may day, may day!  :coolgleamA:

I was a KISS Army member from about 1976-1980.  My bedroom was covered in KISS posters and I saw them in concert in 1979 right after they released the Dynasty album (before they took off their makeup or before any original members left).  I owned every album they released up until about 1982, I think the last one I bought was Unmasked.  I kind of lost track after Peter and Ace left.

One of my favs from Dynasty:

KISS!   Been a fan since I was about 5 yrs old!   KISS ALIVE II was my first album. Still got it. Have to dig it out. Got the color insert still and somewhere the tattoo's that came with it. I've seen them 5 times if my memory serves me right.  The reunion tour with the original members was the best!

I was a KISS fan in the 70's when they were hot and I was a teenager.... saw them as one of the openers for Aerosmith's tour a couple years ago, and it was the same 30 year old shtick, same old (and now tired) sound, with an extra 20-25 pounds stuffed into their spandex.... the years have not been all that kind.

Same here. That was the album that got me started too.
Up until about '80 I had all but 3 of the their albums. I remember sticking a bunch of the stickers that came with the "Rock & Roll Over" album on my skateboard & the big sawblade on my school looseleaf cover. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I loved Frehleys Comet. I went and saw Ace in Frehleys Comet in Notre Dame back in 1995 maybe. That show rocked.

Cody,

That was not Peter at VH1 Rock Honors. That was Eric Singer in Peters make-up. Peter left KISS before Ace did.

Peter and Ace just could not break their old alcohol or drug habits. I know, I saw KISS right before Ace left around 2003 or so in Columbus, and he was falling down drunk.

I heard Paul on Opey and Anthony a few months ago. He said KISS will never have Peter or Ace in it again. Which is fine with me. I love Peter and Ace. But Tommy and Eric can out play those guys any day.
