Tranny noise

My Challenger 383 has a weird knocking noise in the tranny, as soon as the motor turns over you can here knocking. It sounds like a busted pushrod, but the noise is coming from the front of the tranny. Any ideas on what it can be? I was thinking it might be a busted torqe plate.

   Your torque converter bolts could be hitting the dust shield.

make sure you tighten them up.

A little Loctite on them won't hurt either.
