is this plastic suposed to be painted aregent silver?

Totally Auto carries it and call it "grill silver".  I think its almost the same thing as argent.   Bob

I believe that Totally Auto caries two different grill paint's. They are a slight variation of colors. I'll give Dave the owner a call and find out exactly which one of their paints you should use.

Grab a can of Eastwoods Argent Wheel Paint. Thats what I used and it looks super!

Save shipping costs. The Eastwoods Argent is the same and you can pick it up at your local speed shop/ parts store.

I used Totally Auto's grill paint on mine. They told me it's not regular argent silver. I'm not expert but mine came out awesome. A can goes a long way. I put on several coats and I still have better than half a can left.
