Well it's on the passenger side and is the one closest to the firewall, so I got a 90 deg cordless drill(needed one anyways) & was able to get a threadall in the hole. Now the part that sucks..the threadall snapped off, it's made of hardened tool steel. :flame: So it looks like the head is going to have to come off and then I got to get the stud out. However I may let it sit and save up for a set of "new" heads. Does anyone know of someone that offers GOOD cast iron heads? They can be refurnished & eldebrocks are to much & stage 4 or 5's would be a waste for my setup.
If anyone knows of a way to to get the stud out that would help also; BTW the heads need valve guides and someone ported one of the exhaust ports with a rat-tail file, I cleaned it up the best I could but the marks are still is there.

Try to mig weld a nut to the broken stud while it is in the car.  If you can get a good bond, then you can back the stud out with the nut.  If this fails then you will be forced to take the head off and work on it outside the car.  My worst broken off stud had to be drilled out and helicoiled.  (out of the car of course ).  Not a good situation but good luck.

I did the same wound up taking a torch to it.  Heating it and then hitting the torch POOF gone.

I cried the whole time, as the engine shop are the ones who did it and would not fix it.
